Dr. Steve Fletcher was born January 21, 1941, in Southern California and grew up through his entire youth in Los Angeles. Upon graduation from high school, he attended Pasadena Nazarene College where he graduated with a degree in religion and psychology; then on to Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City. His first pastoral assignment was in the role of youth pastor at Lynnwood Church of the Nazarene in Southern California.

 

He and his wife, Julene, whom he married while in seminary, took their first church as senior pastors in Oak Harbor, Washington, in 1966. Subsequently, “Fletch,” which he likes to be called, and his lady have pastored churches in Renton, WA; Puyallup, WA; Oklahoma City, OK; and Yakima, WA. In 1990 he was elected District Superintendent of the Northwest District Church of the Nazarene, where he and Julene served for 14 years until their retirement in 2004.

 

Presently Fletch serves part time as shepherding pastor at Liberty Bible Church of the Nazarene in Vancouver, Washington, and holds revivals, camp meetings and retreats across the country.

 

Fletch and Julene have two children, Mark of Spokane and Merredith of Vancouver, and four grandchildren.
