For those of you planning to join in person, some things to keep in mind:
- Wear a face covering inside the building
- Practice keeping the recommended physical distance
- Temperatures will be taken upon arrival
- Bring your Bible, water bottle and kindness!
We want to thank you all for your understanding, encouragement, love, and prayers as we navigate this difficult season. I am reminded that the difficult seasons are what grow us deeper in love with God, and that is what I want, and what we want to teach our youth. Difficult does not have to mean bad, hopeless, or negative; it can be just what we need to draw our hearts towards the One who loves us most.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
We believe, and want to pass on, that it has been and will continue to be a season that offers change for the good, hope, joy, peace, and an unending redemptive love from our God.

COVENANT
(written by the SLYM students & approved by Pastor Ryan) We, the members of SLYM make this covenant as brothers and sisters in Christ. We strive to live and love like Jesus.
SLYM is a place for rest, revival, friendship and fun. We come not only to see our friends and have a good time, but to grow deeper in our connection with God through worship, God's Word & Prayer. We will respect each other's desire to learn by listening, not goofing off or distracting others during messages or prayer and by spurring each other on as we seek to know Jesus together. Everyone is welcome to come as they are. We stand firm on the word of God and understand that we are all imperfect people who need a perfect God. Those who come to this place will be loved unconditionally, with respect, kindness & without judgement or condemnation. We recognize the importance and value of keeping the unity of our group. To do this, we strive to pray for each other, protect each other, carry each other's burdens, stay away from gossip, forgive as we have been forgiven, show humility, provide accountability, show grace, and have fun together. As a group, we will work on including everyone, taking special notice of those who are new or who may feel left out, finding a way to make them feel welcomed, wanted & loved. We will put others above ourselves showing the sacrificial love of Jesus. This is SLYM, students who desire to grow in our relationship with God and each other |
