College / Career Director
My journey to Liberty has been a wild ride and one that I could not have predicted. Born and raised in Alabama, you could not have told me that I would be living in the Pacific Northwest. I grew up in church my whole life attending every Sunday and being active in a variety of ministries. When I entered our church’s youth group, the Lord grabbed hold of me and I started to take faith seriously. I knew I wanted to give my life in service to God in his church.
I graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL In 2015. My time there gave birth to a passion for studying the depth of God’s Word and equipped me with so many powerful tools to minister to his people and teach the Bible. I attended Dallas Theological Seminary in 2015, but walked away from the program at the end of 2016. At the time, I was defeated and unsure of my calling, but through prayer and rest I felt God calling me to something I felt unprepared for. I applied to several churches across the country, but found myself to drawn to a church in Camas, WA. After 2 years of service there and during a season of change, I left Camas Church of the Nazarene for Liberty Bible Church.
God has been so good to me during my time in Washington. I met and fell in love with a girl from Texas. Hannah moved to Washington from Dallas in August of 2019 and we are engaged to be married in June 2020. We are so excited for the journey ahead of us in life and in ministry. She is passionate about sharing the gospel and seeks with intention to make disciples.
I love craft coffee, Red Sox baseball, and critically acclaimed film. I love my Bible, and when I sit down to read it I am often drawn to the stories and narratives of the Old Testament. I believe God continues to speak through the lives of the biblical characters challenging us to find ourselves within them. I love theology and talking about the weird, out there questions about God and our world. I love discipleship and I think making disciples is the key to healthy churches and healthy people. If you’re ever looking for me, the best place to start is the nearest coffee shop!
